Revamping cutting line control automation

With an organized plant shutdown of just four weeks, the old system has been removed, the new systems installed, commissioned and production restarted. The deadlines were challenging, but thanks to the Gefran technical team, they were met to the customer’s satisfaction.
The high technological level reached has allowed the end user to: restore functions lost over the years, increase production efficiency and, with a new state-of-the-art Gefran automation system, increase process control thus improving final product quality. Preventive maintenance analysis system to avoid unexpected downtime has been added too.
The update of a tested safety system makes the plant compliant with current standards and regulations allowing the full safety use for line operators.
